What a year it has been. Itās 10:11 pm only a few minutes remain till the day ends. All week leading to this moment Iāve been telling myself I was going to take today out to think and assess how the year has progressed, however, Iāve been unable to peel back the fog and really get into it.
Thatās been characteristic of the year, with the broader macroeconomic climate, as an immigrant on a work visa itās definitely been a tense year. One where Iāve had to make sure to go the extra mile to have that extra bit of safety. If I were to describe the year, Iād say it was busy. So busy it made it into the birthday note from my partner, so busy I regrettably might have experienced the loss of a great friendship, all through faults of mine.
Iām now in my late 20s and as I think about all the things Iād like to achieve, I find it difficult to feel a great sense of thanks for all thatās been done. Thereās still so much work to be done.
Through it all, the pockets of great joy have been with friends, family, and lover. These relationships mean the world to me. As the years continue to roll by, my main goal is to be the man you think me to be.
